The first two reports on the Feral Human Site sound bigfooty
.

For over 30 years there was a guy living wild in the Kiamichi's He was
drafted in WWII and ran off , Eventually his cloths were reduced to raggs
and he fashioned a loin cloth and lived in caves, eating fish he caught by hand.
I'll have to look up the guys name. There are also reports of Indians that have
escaped detection in certain areas. The Big thicket of Texas has sported sightings
of what maybe surviving Karankawa indians. They describe tall Native Americans
with bare feet, loin cloth and fur vests, with waist length hair, and full body tatoos
that seem to be modeled after apes.
While not really feral, these sightings, if ever
substantiated, could explain some reports of feral humans.

:| I think you just described Phish and Grateful Dead followers.
